The cost for licensing unaltered or fertile pets is higher than for licensing
spayed or neutered pets in order to promote sterilization and to reduce
pet overpopulation and starvation.
If you have received a renewal notice in the mail and are not required
to submit an updated rabies vaccination certificate, you may be eligible
to make payment online with a major
credit card (Visa / MasterCard / AmEx / Discover. A $1.75 service fee will apply
for each electronic payment
Required Paperwork
Please submit a copy of your current rabies vaccination certificate,
signed by a licensed veterinarian. An invoice or statement of services
is not sufficient as proof of rabies vaccination. Check your certificate
for correct address and pet information.
If your pet is spayed or neutered, include a copy of the pet’s spay/neuter
certificate or be sure this information is indicated on your rabies certificate.
If applying for a new service dog license, please include proof of service
dog status, such as papers from a training agency.
Your paperwork will not be returned to you, so please retain a copy of
your vaccination certificate for your records.

The shelter has been privatized. A $2.00 surcharge will be added to each license purchased at this location. If you wish to avoid this surcharge, you may purchase your pet’s license by mail.
