Licensing Ordinance
All dogs and cats older than four months of age in Highland Village must be vaccinated for rabies and registered with the City. Pets undergoing a change of ownership must be registered within 10 days.

Instructions to License Online
Ready to register your pet? You are eligible to register online if you have received a full-page renewal notice in the mail and you are not required to submit any paperwork (such as an updated rabies certificate). Please have your notice ready, and click here to begin. A $1.75 convenience fee will apply for each online transaction.
If you are not eligible for online registration, you no longer have the reference number from your notice, or you prefer to pay by another method, click here to view your other payment options.

Required Paperwork
- A current rabies vaccination certificate is required if the rabies vaccination on file has expired. Please check your certificate for correct address and pet information.
- Proof of age (65+) if requesting the senior citizen discount.
- Training documentation if requesting the service animal discount.
Please send legible copies of your paperwork and maintain a copy for your records.
