Senior License Fees

A free license is available for pets owned by a senior citizen (60+). A free license is also available for a guide or leader dog for a blind person, a hearing dog for a deaf or audibly impaired person, or a service dog for a physically limited person.

If you qualify for a free license, you may obtain a license by mail, by fax (888-738-5556) or by submitting electronic copies of your documentation by email. Free licenses may be renewed by phone at 1-800-574-1453 if the pet's rabies vaccination on file is current (initial licenses cannot be obtained by phone).

Please note free licenses cannot be obtained through the online payment system.

Required Documents:

  1. Proof of age is required to receive a free license for pets owned by senior citizens age 60 and over. Acceptable documents to show proof of age are a copy of a driver's license or passport.
  2. Proof from the issuing agency is required to receive a free license for a service dog.
  3. Attach a current rabies certificate if your pet's vaccination is not already on file with us.
  4. If you have already received a mailing from us, please include the 9-digit reference number found to the right of your pet's name. If you have not received a mailing, the license application below may be downloaded and included for your convenience, but it is not required. Please note that the fillable form below is intended to be printed and may not save information correctly for electronic submission.
