Licensing Ordinance

All dogs and cats 8 weeks of age and older must be licensed with the City of Bothell within 30 days of being in the city. Pets over the age of 6 months must have a current rabies vaccination. The City of Bothell does not permit having more than three pets at one residence without a Kennel, Cattery, or Special Hobby Kennel License.

Due Date

Payment for your license is due within 30 days of the expiration of your current license. If you are licensing for the first time, you must purchase a license within 30 days of obtaining a dog or cat over the age of 8 weeks or within 30 days of moving into the City of Bothell.

A late fee of $15 is added to the license fee if your license has not been renewed within 30 days of the due date.

License Term

The juvenile pet license will expire 6 months from date of purchase. All other animal licenses will expire one year from the date of purchase for the first license. Subsequent licenses will expire one year from the expiration of the previous license.
