Licensing Ordinance

All dogs, cats, and ferrets 4 months of age or older must be vaccinated against rabies and registered with Animal Services. The owner of a newly acquired pet must register within 30 days.

Due Date

Payment for your license is due within 30 days of the expiration of your current license. If you are licensing for the first time, you must purchase a license within 30 days of obtaining a pet over the age of 4 months.

License Term

License will be valid for 1 or 3 years from date of vaccination, but will not be valid beyond the expiration of the rabies vaccination. A 3-year vaccination must have been given less than 6 months before the license date to receive a 3-year license.
