Licensing Ordinance

All dogs 4 months of age and older must be vaccinated for rabies and licensed with Culver City within 30 days of being in the city. Cats and potbellied pigs may be licensed on a voluntary basis.

Due Date

Payment for your license is due within 30 days of the expiration of your current license. If you are licensing for the first time, you must purchase a license within 30 days of obtaining a dog over the age of 4 months or within 30 days of establishing residence in Culver City.

A late fee of $25 will be added to licenses not renewed by the first of the month following their prior license expiration and to new licenses not purchased within 30 days of dog ownership or residency in Culver City.

License Term

Animal licenses will expire one year from date of issue for the first license. Subsequent licenses will expire one year from the expiration of the previous license.
