Licensing Ordinance

All dogs 7 months of age and older must be licensed with the city. Newly acquired dogs over the age of 7 months must be licensed within 30 days of acquisition.

Due Date

Payment for your license is due within 30 days of the expiration of your current license. If you are licensing for the first time, you must purchase a license within 30 days of obtaining a dog over the age of 7 months.

A late fee is added to the license fee if your license is not purchased by the due date. The late fee is $10 per license.

License Term

Licenses are valid for 1 or 3 years, depending on which license term has been purchased. A three-year license may only be purchased if your dog has received a three year rabies vaccination within the last 60 days. Three-year licenses will be valid through the expiration of the rabies vaccination.
