Licensing Ordinance
All dogs and cats over 6 months of age kept or maintained in the County must be licensed with Spokane County within 30 days of being in the county. Dogs and cats that are in the county at least 30 days out of the year must be licensed with Spokane County.

The cost for licensing unaltered pets is higher than for licensing spayed or neutered pets in order to promote sterilization and to reduce pet overpopulation.

Due Date
Payment for your license is due within 30 days of the expiration of your current license. If you are licensing for the first time, you must purchase a license within 30 days of obtaining a pet over the age of 6 months or within 30 days of moving into Spokane County.
