Licensing Ordinance

All dogs and cats 6 months of age and older must have a current rabies vaccination and be licensed annually with the City. New residents must license within 30 days of moving into the city of Urbandale.

Due Date

Licenses expire annually on December 31st, and must be renewed by April 30th each year.

A late fee is added to the license fee if your license is not purchased by the due date. A $25.00 late fee will be applied beginning May 1st.
