Licensing Ordinance

Anyone owning a dog, cat, or ferret four months of age or older in Fulton County must have their pet vaccinated against rabies every one or three years and purchase a license.

Due Date

Payment for your license is due within 30 days of the expiration of your current license. If you are licensing for the first time, you must purchase a license when the pet reaches 4 months of age or within 30 days of moving into Fulton County.

License Term

By ordinance, licenses must be purchased for the same term as the rabies vaccination and will expire on the same date that the vaccination expires. If the vaccination administered to your pet is for one year, a one-year license must be purchased. If your pet was given a 3-year vaccination, a 3-year license must be purchased.
