Licensing Ordinance

All dogs 4 months of age and older must be vaccinated against rabies and licensed with the City of Suffolk.

Due Date

Licenses must be renewed by March 1st each year. If you are licensing for the first time, all dogs 4 months of age or older must be licensed with the City of Suffolk.

License Term

Annual licenses are valid through February 28th of each year. Lifetime licenses are valid for the life of the dog if an updated vaccination certificate is submitted each time the vaccination expires.
