Licensing Ordinance
All dogs and cats 4 months of age and older must be licensed with Manatee County within 3 business days of being in the county or acquiring the pet.

Licensing Locations
You may license your pet in person at participating veterinary clinics. Please bring your pet's rabies vaccination certificate. Click here for a current listing of participating clinics.
Required Paperwork
- A current rabies vaccination certificate is required if the rabies vaccination on file has expired. Please check your certificate for correct address and pet information.
Your paperwork will not be returned to you, so please only send copies and retain the originals for your records.

If this is a renewal and a new metal tag is needed, please request a new metal tag with your pet's renewal. Otherwise, a receipt only will be sent.
Due Date
Payment for your license is due on the the expiration date of your current license. If you are licensing for the first time, you must purchase a license within 3 business days of obtaining a pet over the age of 4 months or within 3 business days of moving into Manatee County.
